Garvin Fannin, age 86 of Winchester, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on November 6, 1928 the son of the late Ernest and Helen (Larrick) Fannin.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Fannin, who passed away on September 1, 2014.
Garvin attended Winchester United Methodist Church, he was a life time farmer, and a Federal Crop Insurance adjuster for over 40 years.
He is survived by two sons, Dan (Kathy) Fannin of West Union and Mark (Mary) Fannin of Winchester; one daughter, Deborah (Sam) Coburn of Clayton, North Carolina; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; and his extended family, cousins, church family, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Winchester United Methodist Church with Pastor Greg Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Barnes Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00 till 7:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester.
