Gary Lee Harris, 62 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.

He was born in Springfield, Ohio on July 16, 1945 the son of the late Edna Chaney.

He retired on September 30, 2007 from ABX Air, where he was a System Analyst. He was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church, former deacon of the Hillsboro United Brethren, a Red Cross instructor, Vice President of the Hillsboro Amateur Radio Club, and a 4H Advisor.

He was united in marriage on October 21, 1988 to Vicki Davidson Harris, who survives. He is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jason P. and Michelle Harris of Mt. Orab, three daughters and son-in-law, Lori Newman of Hillsboro, Lora J. and Greg Ferguson of Hillsboro, Sabrina D. Mercer and Fiancé, Brian Ball of Hillsboro, mother-in-law, Mary Davidson of Hillsboro, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Paulette and Larry Martin of Hillsboro, seven grandchildren, Brandi K. Harris, Amie L. Griffith, Taylor B. Ball, Alexa M. Harris, Alan Ferguson, Michael Ferguson, and Joshua Harris, special friends, Irma Marsha of Hillsboro; Brittany and Brandy Ball, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 24, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Chuck Shonkwiler officiating. Burial will follow in Hamer Township Cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 till 4:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
