Genevieve A. Unger

Genevieve A. Unger, 90 years of Peebles, died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Heartland of Hillsboro.
She was born in Ross County, Ohio on February 9, 1917 the daughter of the late Samuel and Thelma Anderson Steele.
She taught for thirty-three years at Franklin High School and Peebles High School. She was a member of the Peebles United Methodist Church, Retired State Teachers Association, and the Shakespeare Club.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Adda Loree Steele.
She was united in marriage on June 9, 1949 to Jack Unger, who survives. She is also survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Karl Salmins of Noblesville, Indiana, Ruth and Jim Nixon of Brandon, Florida, brothers, Ralph Steele of Valparaiso, Indiana, Lowell Steele of Fairfield, Connecticut, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the Peebles United Methodist Church with Steve Zinser officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Peebles United Methodist Church.
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of arrangements.
