Grover C. Woods, Sr., 75 years of Seaman, died Friday, August 1, 2003 at the Adams County Hospital in West Union.
He was born in Reading, Ohio on April 25, 1928 the son of the late Henry and Cordilla Poe Woods.
He was the custodian for Princeton Board of Education.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Melissa, three brothers, Jimmy, Delbert, and Archie Woods, and one sister, Helen Rose Ripley.
He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, June Coomer Woods, three sons and daughters-in-law, Chester and Kay Woods, Jr. of Seaman, Kenny and Patricia Woods of Lockland, Joe Woods of Seaman, three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Gary Thompson of Marathon, Ohio, Judy and Terry Groves of Seaman, Joann and Patrick Paluga of Winchester, one brother, Jack Woods of Manchester, Kentucky, twenty-two grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many other close family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman with Rev. Raymond Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home.
