Gerald Ova Lewis, 87 years of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023.
Gerald was born May 17, 1935 in Hillsboro, OH., the son of the late Ova Russell and Myrtilla (McConnaughey) Lewis. Beside His parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his wife Rosemary "Rose" (Mick) Lewis on August 25, 1993; son, Jay Alan Lewis, daughter, Mary M. Ray and sister, Kathryn Walker.
Gerald is survived by his son, Ova G. "OG" (Alicia) Lewis of Hillsboro; daughter, Terri L. (Charlie) Brooks of Lynchburg; eight grandchildren, Amy Berry, Jeremy (Nikki) Lewis, Jay (Alyssia) Winkle, John(Patty) Craycraft, Andy (Megan) Winkle, Bradi (Clint) Black, Jerrod Shoemaker and Lesley (Fred) Hattan; fourteen great grandchildren, Karleigh Berry, Kyleigh Berry, Keaton Winkle, Oakley Winkle, Riggs Winkle, Penelope Winkle, Jack Winkle, Silas Black, Trisstan Shoemaker, Caleb Shoemaker, Justice Hattan, Layla Hattan, Landry Hattan and Jobey Hattan.
Funeral Services will be 12:30pm, Saturday March 4, 2023 at Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Strange Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 am until time of services on Saturday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
