Gertrude Davis, 87 years of Seaman, died Sunday, October 8, 2006 at the Adams County Hospital in West Union.
She was born in Floyd County, Virginia on January 12, 1919 the daughter of the late Walter and Tidde Martin Webb.
She was an Order of Eastern Star member in Virginia. She worked for General Motors.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Davis, who passed away in 1996, two brothers, Edgar and Jimmy Webb, and one sister, Nettie Day.
She is survived by her son, Garland Mays of Marietta, Ohio, granddaughter, Molly Mays, sister-in-law, Grace Webb of Mechanicsville, Virginia, two nieces, Alice Gene Michael of Seaman, Brenda David Day Pitzer of Seaman, and several great nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held at Mt. Leigh Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Burial will follow in the Mt. Leigh Cemetery.
There will be no visitation observed.
Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman is in charge of arrangements.
