Gladys I. Grooms, 92 years of Peebles, died Thursday, December 27, 2007 at the Adams County Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Peebles, Ohio on May 16, 1915 the daughter of the late Everett and Virginia Ball Young.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Grooms in July 13, 2004.
Gladys was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ.
She spent her entire life taking care of family and her home.
She is survived by four sons & daughter-in-laws Dale & Glenna Grooms of Peebles, Ohio, Jim Grooms of Peebles, Ohio, Harold & Shirley Grooms of Peebles, Ohio, and Jerry & Teresa Grooms of Peebles, Ohio. Two sisters Maude Nichols of Texas, and Mary Ruth Sweeton of Missouri. Five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, and one step great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles, Ohio with Jim Chandler officiating.
Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
