Gladys Dee Shelton, 84 years of Leesburg, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011.
She was born on June 26, 1926 in Mason County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Alva Mullikin and Erthel Pitts Mullikin Blake.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father Earl Blake, one daughter Janet Walker, one brother William Blake, one grandchild, and one great grandchild.
She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Elmo and Sue Walker, Jr. of Greenfield, Marvin and Carol Walker of South Salem, Charles and Wendy Walker of Lynchburg, Phister and Terry Walker of New Vienna, Clint and Carmen Walker of Leesburg; six daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Gene Armstrong of Hillsboro, Geneva and John Webb of Phoenix, AZ, Judy Prater of Hillsboro, Hazel Ballard-Voiles and Kenny of Staunton, Theresa and Ronnie Rhoads of Hillsboro, one sister Louis Paul Jones of Andalusia, AL., 28 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Wiley Perkins officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church.
