Glenn Allen Frump was born near Samantha, OH. on April 28, 1933 to Ocie Fenton and Lorene (Rogers) Frump. In 1953 he married Nell Ann Purtee and they were the parents of Kenneth Andrew (Nancy) and Timothy Allen (Keilly). Surviving are his two sons, three sisters Evelyn Granger, Eleanor (Ron) Peabody, Joyce McKibben, brother Jim (Mary Jane), and sister-in-law Jerry Frump. He was adored by his grandchildren Matthew, Tyler and Brent Frump and great grandchildren Andrew, Adam and Maddie. Allen was step grandfather to Raymond and Joe Smithson and Jenny November. He had many nieces, nephews and their siblings.
He was predeceased by his first wife, parents, three brothers, David, Roger and Joseph, two brothers-in-law, Earl Granger and Bob McKibben and sister-in-law Mildred Frump.
In 1985 he married Sue Wiseman Greer and became a loving stepfather to Kevin (Kristy), Greg (Sue), David and Paul (Dana) Greer, grandfather to Christina, Randi, Lee, Cori, Ryan, Ross, Aaron and Delaney Greer, great grandchildren, Gavin, Kaitlyn, Gaige, Kyson, Trent, Carson, Rilee and Charlie Greer. He loved his second family as his own, building them many pieces of furniture and attending their various activities.
Allen was a machine operator and programmer at Cincinnati Milicron. He loved farming, gardening and building furniture. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1951 and Dret Real Estate School. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Washington Court House. Throughout his life he has served as a deacon and trustee and was very involved in several other local church activities. A member of Highland Co. and the National Association of Realtors, he was also the former vice-president of the Highland Co. Children Services Board, a member of Leadership Highland, Leesburg Lodge #78 F.&A.M. and the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati.
Allen was a kind, loving man who will be greatly missed by his family, numerous friends, and his special friends Arden and Sherry Haycook, Carolyn and John Fitzgerald and life-long friend Kenny Payton.
A Masonic Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Leesburg Friends Church. A Memorial Service will follow with Pastor John Fitzgerald officiating.
