Glenna Blackburn

Blackburn, 77 years of Peebles, Locust Grove Community, died Friday, January 18, 2002 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth.

She was born in Montgomery County on May 2, 1924 the daughter of Russell R. and Pearle Driskel Lambert.

She was a member of the Straight Creek Church of the Brethern, Lay Minister at the Church of Brethren, taught school in the Sinking Spring School System, member of the

Adams County Retired Teachers Association and Phi Kappi Phi Honor Society.

Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Blackburn

and her daughter, Gwen Blackburn Graham.

She is survived by her grandson Jonathan Graham of Peebles, son-in-law, Andrew Graham of Peebles, two step-sons, Rufus Blackburn of Xenia, Kenneth Blackburn of Hilton, NY, three step-daughters, Mabel Stratton of Alexandria, VA, Ruth Gibson of Procterville, Alice Mae Vansickle of New Boston, special children, Dr. Tom and Sandra Kessler and their children, one brother Lyle Lambert of Peebles and one sister Jessie Quinn of Milville, NJ., step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at the Sinking Spring Community Building in Sinking Spring with Pastor Mark Flory-Steury officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call on Monday evening from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.

Memorial may be made to the Straight Creek Church of the Brethren Brothers Retirement Home.
