Gloria D. Cyrus, 78 years of Hillsboro, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
She was born February 10, 1932 in Fayette County, OH, the daughter of the late William and Serepta Butcher Dawes. On January 19, 1954 she was united in marriage to Robert L. Cyrus who preceded her in death on September 6, 1996. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Denver Dettillion and Harold Dawes.
Gloria is survived by one son Robert W. Cyrus of Hillsboro, two grandchildren, Michelle and Quentin, one sister, Susan Baughn of Washington C.H., special friends, Winona and Bill Storer of Hillsboro.
Gloria was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post # 9094 in Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Dr. Dan Lamb will officiate with burial to follow in the Hightop Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
