Guy Arthur Dyer, 92 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Wednesday August 8, 2018.
Guy was born in Madison County, Ohio, on March 24, 1926, the son of the late Jack and Darlene (Zimmerman) Dyer. In addition to his parents, Guy is preceded by his sister, Carrie Lou Vance; brothers, Hugh Dyer and James Dyer.
Guy is survived by his wife of 66 years, Doris A. (Fender) Dyer, children, Michael Dyer, Cindy (Jim) Smith, Nancy L. Wilson, John (Tammy) Dyer; 6 grandchildren, Matthew (Amy) Smith, Courtney (Jim) Garner, Joel Wilson, Amanda (Brady) Kirwan, Adam (Amanda) Dyer and Austin (Nicole) Dyer, 9 great grandchildren, along with many family members and friends.
Guy was a member of the Danville Church of Christ, Veteran of the Korean War, member of the Highland County Antique Machinery Club and Toy Tractor Club. Guy and Doris were avid travelers and would always take off on a trip every chance they got.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Danville Church of Christ, 4917 State Route 138, Hillsboro, OH. Burial will follow at the Hamer Township Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Danville Church of Christ.
Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
