Harley R. Shady Baker, 80 years of Winchester, died Sunday, September 22, 2002 at the Adams County Hospital in West Union.
He was born in New Vienna, Ohio on June 28, 1922 the son of the late James and Bessie Purdin Baker.
He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Winchester American Legion Post #242, where he was past commander for several years.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Baker.
He is survived by four brothers, Clarence Baker of Blue Ash, Ralph Baker of Mt. Orab, Harry Baker of Lynchburg, Harold Baker of Winchester, one sister, Mary Keesee of Beaver,Ohio, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2002 at 1:00 P.M. at the Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home in Winchester with Rev. Dan Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home.
