Harold Anderson

November 24, 1940 — February 23, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harold Cecil Anderson, known to many as a caring father, devoted husband, and all-around great guy. Harold left us on February 23, 2025, at the age of 84, in the Byingtown Community, Ohio, where he was born on November 24, 1940. Harold is preceded by his parents, Cecil and Flora (Thurman) Anderson, brothers, Robert and Vernon Anderson and sisters, Lucille Pollitt, Lilly Gilmore, Linda Anderson, Ruth Adkins, Mary Reno and Ruby Royster.

Harold was a man of many talents; he worked as a laborer and was affectionately known in the family as "Mr. Fix-It." If something was broken, you could count on Harold to patch it up, and he did so with a smile on his face. He worked as a mechanic for Bob Jordan for many years, timber, delivered propane and worked at the Latham Stone Quarry. He had a real love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting deer, fox, and rabbit, spending countless hours with friends and family in the woods. Family was everything to him, and his grandchildren will forever remember him for his warmth, wisdom, and the wonderful stories he shared.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Mary (Hannah) Anderson, whom were married on March 4, 1963, his son Carlos (Mary) Knisley, daughters Debbie (John) Sperlow and Donna (Richard) Knisley, grandchildren, Johnathon Sperlow, Davena (Andrew) Risner, Brandon (Kiana) Anderson, Jacob Knisley and Amy Knisley, great grandchildren, Kadin Lowman, Zander Lowman, Brynlei Anderson, Wyatt Risner, Noah Risner, Gabriel Risner and Sophia Risner, sister, Judy Gardner and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM on Thursday February 27, 2025 at the Latham Church of God, 6008 St Rt 124, Latham Ohio. Burial will follow at the Washburn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services on Thursday at the church.
