H. Dean Everetts, 89 of Hillsboro, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Dean was born on June 1, 1933 to Ora and Loreta (Siders) Everetts. He was a 1951 graduate of Belfast High School. On March 8, 1952, he married his high school sweetheart Ann (Smart) Everetts and they celebrated over 70 years together.
Dean was a lifelong farmer in the Belfast and Berrysville area and was employed by Producers Livestock, Highland County Community Action, Landmark, Inc. and Holladay Brothers Feed Store. He was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, Highland County Farm Bureau, Highland County Senior Citizens, Highland County Antique Machinery Club and Southwestern Ohio Farm Toy Collectors Club.
He enjoyed collecting, restoring and customizing toy tractors, visiting with friends for coffee club at the local McDonald's and attending sporting events and activities of all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He especially loved playing cards at family get-togethers.
He is survived by his wife Ann; daughters Deanna (Larry) Lyons, Debbie (Bill) Couch; grandchildren, Derrick (Maggie) Lyons, Donica (Scott) Haines, Darci (Bruce) Miles, Jenny (Mike) Kelly, Devon (Ben) Radant, Scott (Erika) Couch, and Kim (Kyle) Hess; great-grandchildren, Zander Lyons, Breslyn Lyons, Reaghan (Ryan) Hagan, Britton (Hope) Haines, Brock Haines, Ramsey Haines, Addyson Miles, Kobie Miles, Hudson Kelly, Mason Kelly, Ella Radant, Lyla Radant; great-great grandchild, Nolan Hagan; siblings Donnie (Evelyn) Everetts and Barbara Newman and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Larry Newman. Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home from 4 until 7 PM on Friday September 9, 2022. Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday September 10, 2022 at Thompson Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Prospect Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Hillsboro Church of Christ Youth Fund.
