Harold Gross, 70 years of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at his residence.
He was born In South Lebanon, OH on March 25, 1946, the son of the late John and Candus (Johnson) Gross. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Ollie Gross and three sisters, Thelma Jean Carter, Fannie Marie Bennington and Kathy de Leon.
Harold was a member of Good News Gathering and Highland County Tea Party. After graduating from high school, Harold graduated with a Bachelor in Accounting from Chapman College. Harold retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. Upon retirement from the U.S. Navy, Harold spent 14 years with the Royal Saudi Navy and 4 years with the Hillsboro UPS.
Harold is survived by his wife Mary (Caldwell) Gross; daughter and son-in-law Melissa and Ronnie Wilson of Hillsboro; one son William Caldwell of Hillsboro; three grandchildren Cheyenne (Brantly) Reffitt, Olivia Wilson, Ovid Wilson; three great grandchildren Brynlee, Easton and Avery; three brothers A. John Gross of Hillsboro, Clifford Gross of Seaman and Keith Gross of Hillsboro; one sister Michelle Kuhn of Maysville, KY.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM on Saturday February 25, 2017 at the Good News Gathering, 6250 U.S. Route 62 South, Hillsboro, OH. After the services, the Highland County Honor Guard will be performing military rites.
Friends may call from 3:00 PM until time of services at the church.
Memorials to the Goods News Gathering Capital Campaign or Community Care Hospice.
