Harold Warner Hurt, 72 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Tuesday January 31, 2023.
He was born in Lafayette, IN on May 23, 1950, the son of the late Gerald and Imogene (Jones) Hurt. Besides his parents, he is also preceded by his granddaughter, Kayla Hataway, brother, Jerry Hurt and father-in-law, Donald Hutchinson.
Harold retired, after 20 years, in the United States Army, where he served in Viet Nam War. Harold was a member of the VFW; an avid race car driver along with his wife Kathy. Harold also built his own cars and did his mechanic work. Harold loved his Harley Davidson motorcycles and was a member of Combat Veteran Motorcycle Association.
Harold is survived by his wife, Katherine (South) Hurt, whom were married on December 2, 1989,2 sons, Michael (Jill) Phillips and Trever Warner Graham; daughters, Louella Branham and Doana (Kevin) Gaylord; grandchildren, Shelby Hurt, Danna Anderson, Dalton Cochran, Taylor Cochran, Savanna Branham, Dillon Phillips and Brooklyn Phillips, great grandchildren, Riley Anderson, Roman Anderson, Rose Anderson, Stella Brunswick and Bexley Cochran, mother-in-law, Louella Marshall and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Graveside services with military rites will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 6, 2023 at the Meadowlawn Memorial Park, 6121 Hwy 27, Enterprise, AL. 36330.
