Harold E. Moore, 96 years of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at The Laurels of Hillsboro.
He was born August 31, 1917 in Highland County, OH., the son of the late Hobie and Millie Hall Moore. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Winifred Maud "Winnie" Moore on February 27, 1995; one grandson Robby Burnett; two brothers Charles Moore and Thomas Moore; one sister Elsie Martin.
Harold was a lifelong Farmer, retired from ODOT and worked for several years at Holladay Feed Store in Hillsboro.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Earl Burnett of Hillsboro; two grandsons Greg Burnett of Wilmington, N.C., Brad Elizabeth Burnett of Zionsville, IN.; four great grandchildren Jordan, Drew, Carson and Griffin Burnett; one sister and brother-in-law Betty and Larry Dick of Hillsboro; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Dr. Derek Russell will officiate with burial to follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Family requests memorials to the Hillsboro 1st United Methodist Church, 133 E. Walnut St., Hillsboro, OH 45133.
