Harold Oglesby, 86 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday April 4, 2016 at the Bells Garden Place in Hillsboro.
He was born in Irvine, KY on December 7, 1929, the son of the late Sidney and Kate (Winkler) Oglesby. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Oglesby on March 12, 2015, three brothers, Boyd (Peggy) Oglesby, Norris (Marie) Oglesby and Ealon Oglesby; six sisters, Ova (Barry) Robinson, Elsie (Earl) Roush, Clay (Stevie) Hibbard, Libby (Thurman) Walton, Edna Oglesby and Cordelia (Wayne) Schoenberger and brother-in-law, Robert Cox.
Harold served in the United States Army during the Korean War and worked at Diebold for over 40 years.
Harold is survived by three sons, Mike Oglesby of Hillsboro, Tom (Lisa) Oglesby of Hillsboro, and Nick (Becki) Oglesby of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren, Tyler (Brittany) Oglesby, Seth Oglesby, Callie Oglesby, Meredith Oglesby, Miranda (Logan) Watson, Morgan Oglesby and Mackenzie Oglesby; four great-grandchildren, Rylee, Taylor, Blake, and Grayson and three sister-in-laws; Jeanette Oglesby, Marinona (Bruce) Peters and Arlene Cox.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM on Thursday April 7, 2016 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Prospect Cemetery with Dr. Dan Lamb officiating and military rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call at 1:00 PM until time of services on Thursday at the Thompson Funeral Home
