Harold Wallace, 86 years of Winchester, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at his residence.
He was born at Locust Grove, Ohio on January 23, 1923 the son of the late Jasper and Bessie Jones Wallace. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Elbert G. Wallace and Ernest Wallace, two sisters, Helen Reno and Marjorie Kidder.
He retired from Ford Motor Company after 43 years of service. He was a Army Veteran serving in WWII.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Joanna Bussey Wallace whom he married January 23, 1952, three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Wallace of Winchester, John and Cherie Wallace of Springfield, Jim and Susie Wallace of Hillsboro, three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Robinson of Hillsboro, Susie and Bruce Frazer of Belfast, Chris Gall of Columbus, one sister Connie Wilson of Hillsboro, twenty seven grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and host of friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery with Military Graveside Services by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 noon till time of service at 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
