Harry Wayne Montgomery, age 57 of Hillsboro, Ohio was killed Feb. 5, 2009 as the result of a logging accident near Bainbridge, Ohio.
He was born June 6, 1951 near Latham, Ohio, the youngest son of the late Russell and Drusie Montgomery.
He was a 1970 graduate of Western High School of Latham, Ohio. He was married Feb. 6, 1971 to Gwendolyn Everhart. They had only one daughter
Alice Marlene.
Harry worked as a union pipe fitter, builder, surveyor, landlord, logger and
farmer, he was a very hard working man.
He is survived by his wife Gwendolyn, daughter and son in-law Alice AllenPeGan, one beloved grandson Jonathan PeGan all of Hillsboro, Ohio.
Also surviving are two brothers, Ed Roarke of California, Russ FronieMontgomery of Waverly, five sisters, Melida Frazier of Columbus, Devida Cossin of Texas, Conchida Roger Williams of Piketon, DelenaMike Brown of Hillsboro, Carolyn Joe Morrison of Latham. Mother in-law Rosalee Everhart, brother in-law and sister in-law Allen Sue Gregg all of Bainbridge.
Several nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts.
He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Drusie Montgomery, one brother Edison Montgomery and beloved father in-law Dewey Everhart.
Funeral services will be held Monday February 9, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Freedom Fellowship Church on Pearidge Road Hillsboro, Oh with Pastor
Mike Brown officiating. Burial services will follow at Bainbridge Cemetery in Bainbridge, Ohio.
Friends may call Sunday, February 8, 2009 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM also held at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home
in Hillsboro, Ohio.
