Harvey Davis, 77 years of Seaman, passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Versailles, Kentucky on November 1, 1934 the son of the late Harvey Freman and Mona F. Lunsford Davis.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Bailey Davis, two brothers; Freman and Marvin Davis, and three sisters; Emma J. Brown, Margaret Honeycutt, and Edna Mae Reynolds.
Harvey was a retired U.S. Army Veteran serving 23 years with the 101st Airborne.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Robert A. and Kim Davis of London, England and one brother; Samuel Davis of Dayton.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Winchester 1st Church of Christ with Bill Bravard officiating. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery with a Military Graveside Service given by the Fort Knox and Adams County Honor Guards.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 till 11:00 A.M. at the Winchester 1st Church of Christ.
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Homes, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester is in charge of the arrangements.
