Hazel D. Smith, 92 years of Peebles, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Meadowbrook Care Center.
She was born in Peebles, Ohio on April 17, 1916 the daughter of the late Emerson and Pearl Woods Conaway.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Smith.
She is survived by her step son and daughter-in-law Bill and Mary Smith of Belleville, Ohio, step daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Russell Freel of Mansfield, Ohio, brother Joe Devore of Bentonville, sisters Ethel Cross of Peebles and Mary Richmond of Cincinnati, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union with Dave Hopkins and Robert Highley officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 till 5:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
