Helen Marie Howland, 80 years of Hillsboro, died Saturday, June 12, 2004 at the Highland District Hospital.
She was born on January 17, 1924 at Pike County, OH the daughter of the late Samuel and Ercel Yoakem Neff.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Leroy Howland on December 22, 1988, one son Duane Hoover, one son-in-law Stefan Karnes, two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Nancy Howland of Hillsboro, Gary and Kathy Howland of Hillsboro, two daughters and son-in-law, Sandra and Ray Ross of Hillsboro, Lisa Karnes of Peebles, sisters-in-law, Maria Neff of Oak Harbor, OH, Marveen Rich of Arizona, twenty one grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
