Helen Thomas, 88 years of Seaman, died Saturday, October 13, 2007 at her residence.
She was born in Seaman, Ohio on June 21, 1919 the daughter of the late Frank and Hettie Campbell McCormick.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wendell Thomas in 2006 after 69 years of marriage, and two sisters Katy Williams and Esther Foster.
Helen was a member of the Seaman United Presbyterian Church, Searchlight Club, D.A.R., and Eastern Star.
She is survived by one son John Thomas of Seaman, Ohio. One daughter Gayle Sullivan of Seaman, Ohio, and one daughter & son-in-law Linda & Russ Strine of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Seaman United Presbyterian Church in Seaman, Ohio with Pastor Nate Manzo officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Leigh Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Seaman United Presbyterian Church, 17790 State Route 247, Seaman, Ohio 45679.
