Helen Burchett "Mam Mam" Van Lieu, 58 years of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, August 8, 2019 as a result of an automobile accident in Clinton County.
Helen was born June 14, 1961 in Greenfield, OH., the daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy (Thompson) Burchett. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell, Billy and Robert Burchett; one sister, Glory Jane Burchett.
Helen was a 1979 graduate of Peebles High School and attended Southern State Community College. Helen was employed at Timber Tech in Wilmington at the time of her passing.
Helen is survived by one son, Devin Burchett of Hillsboro; three daughters, Zita (Tony) Monteith, Mary (Jason) Leston, Shadaisa Van Lieu all of Hillsboro; adopted daughter, Tonya Gross; four grandchildren, Hailey Monteith, Violet Sky Leston, Kelsey Monteith, Michael Siders; adopted grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jaycob, Courtney Gross, Hannah and Ciara Maynard, Emily Holladay; three brothers, Orva (Pauline) Gragg of Hillsboro, Milton (Patty) Gragg of Hillsboro, Rodney (Kathy) Burchett of Houston, TX.; two sisters, Mary Williams of Hillsboro, Edith (Hollie) Urban of Cedar Lane, TX.; sister-in-law, Kitty Burchett of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 14, at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Milton Gragg will officiate services with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sinking Spring.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
