Herbert A. Pollard, 80 years of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the Heartland of Hillsboro.
He was born at Sandy Springs, Ohio on May 20, 1933 to the late Estle & May Amburgey Pollard. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy D. Pollard on August 10, 2004, son Allen Herbert Pollard on October 28, 2005, son-in-law, Terry Bailey, four brothers and one sister.
He was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, retired in 1991 from South Central Power
He is survived by two sons, Raymond Lee Pollard of Hillsboro, Richard Allen Pollard of Blioxi, MS; two daughters, Connie Lynn Bailey of Sinking Spring, Virginia Kenny Music of Marshall; one brother, David Pollard of Washington, C.H.; three sisters, Mildred Purdin of Fairfax, Mary Love of Louisanna, Roberta Frank Allen of Hillsboro; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, August 26, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro with Military Graveside Rites by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Monday from 11:00 AM till time of service at 1:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home
