Herbert E. Throckmorton

Herbert E. Throckmorton, Sr., 69 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday, September 2, 2007 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. He was born August 23, 1938 at McDermont, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph Richard and Idwilda Mae Crabtree Throckmorton. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Tom Ballein and Sarah Throckmorton; three sisters, Vivian Mosley, Lula Kidder and Barbara Page; one brother, Don Throckmorton and two infant brothers. Herb served his country by serving in the US Army, worked several years as a Jailer for the Highland County Sheriff?s Department, served on the Hillsboro Police Department and Bailiff for the Hillsboro Municipal Court and was a member of the F.O.P. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna Brown Throckmorton who he married on December 27, 1956; two daughters, Christy Throckmorton and Joyce Throckmorton of Hillsboro; three sons and daughter-in-law, Herb Throckmorton, Jr. of Hillsboro, Joe and Kay Throckmorton of Hillsboro, Adam and Gayle Throckmorton of Lynchburg; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Imogene Crabtree of Lucasville; four brothers, Gary Throckmorton of Hillsboro, Ed Throckmorton of Hillsboro, Dave Throckmorton of Lucasville, Tom Throckmorton of Leesburg. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rockwell Cemetery near Otway, OH.
