Hiram P. Smith, 96 years of St. George, Utah, died Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at the Red Cliffs Regional Care Center in St. George, Utah.
He was born in Hillsboro, Ohio on September 17, 1911 the son of the late Russell B. and Rose Ella Frost Smith.
He was a US Army Veteran of World War II.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Frazer Smith, who he married on September 4, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio, three brothers, Kenneth, Norman, and James Lawrence, and one sister, Frances Hull.
He is survived by his son, Gary K. Smith of Silver Spring, Maryland, nieces, Judy Franklin of Hillsboro, Linda Genteline of Columbus, and nephews, Bruce Smith of Hillsboro, and Steven Smith of Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the
Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30 till 11:00 A.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
