Homer H. Rose

Homer H. Rose, 85 years of Peebles, died Saturday, February 14, 2004 at the Adams County Hospital in West Union.

He was born in Pike County, Ohio on August 13, 1918 the son of the late William and Rebecca Lane Rose.

He was an Army Infantry veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union. He retired from Plum Run Stone.

Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Ida O'Bryant.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Hayslip Rose of Peebles, two sons and daughters-in-law, James R. and Cheryl Rose of Peebles, Donnie L. and Becky Rose of Peebles, sisters, Edith Maddy of Piketon, Ora O'Bryant of Piketon, Elta Hawk of Newkart, Catherine Smith of Hillsboro, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 16, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Bill Christman and Jim Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Friends may call on Sunday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
