Hope P. Ward, 78 years of Peebles, died Monday, November 24, 2003 at the Crestwood Nursing Center in Hillsboro.
She was born in Scioto County, Ohio on August 6, 1925 the daughter of the late Effie Kirk.
She was a member of the Beavers Ridge Church of Christ.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Ward, who passed away on October 21, 1978, one son, Richard Ward, and one daughter, Michelle King.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Kathy Ward of Columbus, Carl and Holly Ward of Florida, Mike Ward of Peebles, Keith Ward of Piketon, daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Ward of Florida, Bessie Balog of Hillsboro, Sharon Kimberly of Hillsboro, Lois and David Gardner of Peebles, Juanita and Mike Haybin of Columbus, Marsha Harmon of Cardington, Ohio, Debra and Paul Peyton of Peebles, Cam and Greg Anderson of Peebles, brothers, Tom Kirk of Rarden, Carlos Kirk of Rarden, sisters, Lilly Adams, Jewel Carroll, Ethel McKinley, thirty-two grandchildren, and thirty great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Edward Stout officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmon Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
