Howard D. Fields, 76 years of Hillsboro, Died Thursday, January 22, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 18, 1932 the son of the late Everett and Nola Huff Fields.
Howard was a member of the Marshall Church of Christ and Good News Gathering and Managed Legal Aid Office
for Highland and Clinton County and retired in 1996.
He started the Legal Aid proram in Highland County in 1980. He was a Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Haggerty Fields of Hillsboro, two sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Jenny Swift of Dayton, OH, Mike and Lauri Swift of St. Louis MO, six daughters and sons-in-law, Letty and Bill Allen of New Vienna, OH, Mary and Steve Bikowsky of Hillsboro, OH, Peggy and Ron Shafer of Hillsboro, OH, Laua Catron of Hillsboro, OH, Molly Swift of Monroe, OH, Sara Fields of Hamersville, OH, one brother, Ray Fields of Cincinnati, OH, twenty two grandchildren and four great grandchildren
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Marshall Church of Christ with Tom Stoops officiating. Burial will follow with
Military gravesides services by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 A.M. till service time at 11:00 A.M. at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3380 Tremont Road, Columbus, OH 43221
