Howard Thomas Wallingford, 78 years of Seaman, died Thursday, January 31, 2002 at the Veterans Hospital in Dayton.
He was born in Fleming County, Kentucky on May 21, 1923 the son of the late Harrison and Lutie Mae Dickson Wallingford.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, POW-MIA, and member of the DAV Post #31 of Adams County.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Wallingford, Willie Wallingford, Harrison Wallingford, Jr., and two sisters, Georgia Baxter, and Olive Harris.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Geeslin Wallingford of Seaman, sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Debbie Wallingford of Milford, Ronnie and Becky Wallingford of Ribolt, Kentucky, Mike Wallingford of Hillsboro, daughter and son-in-law, Roxana and Jim Rumfield of Waverly, two stepdaughters, Debbie Brammer of Hillsboro, Rita Don Doss of Seaman, two sisters, Alvirgia Calvert of Seaman, Marion Breeze of Tollesboro, Kentucky, fourteen grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 4, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman with Rev. Raymond Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Leigh Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 till 7:00 P.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home.
