Hugh Wesley Emery

Hugh Wesley Emery, 85 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at his residence.

He was born in Highland County on December 29, 1915 the son of the late William G. and Frances J. Kier Emery.

He was a custodian for South Central Power. He was a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church. He farmed, was a carpenter, and drove the Carnation milk route for 19 years.

Beside his parents he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Cox Emery of Hillsboro, son and daughter-in-law, John and Patsy Emery of Hillsboro, daughters and son-in-law, Romona Emery of Hillsboro, Barbara and Phill Siders of Clarksville, brothers, Floyd Emery of Hillsboro, Ralph Emery of Florida, sister, Grace Laninger of Mt. Orab, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Kenneth Woleab officiating. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery.

Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
