Hugh Chaney Igo

Hugh Chaney Igo, 90 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Wednesday December 16, 2015 at the Bell Gardens Place.
He was born in Highland County on February 19, 1925, the son of the late William and Ester Fern (Chaney) Igo. Besides his parents he was also preceded by his wife, Ruth (Rhoades) Igo on April 4, 2015, sister, Freda Creed, two brothers, Harold and Lloyd Igo and grandson Bobby Martin.
Hugh served in the United States Air Force, was a member of the Elks Lodge in Palmetto, FL, worked for the Hillsboro Police Department for several years and retired from GTE.
Hugh is survived by his son, Larry Martin of Ellenwood, GA, two sisters, Donna Huff of Leesburg and Mary Kelley of Leesburg, two grandchildren; Katie (Clint) Wharton and Paul (Sherri) Martin, six great grandchildren, special nephew Roy (Carmen) Kelly and several nieces and nephews.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be 3:30 P.M. on Sunday December 20, 2015 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Friends may call at 2:00 P.M. until time of service on Sunday at the Thompson Funeral Home followed by Military Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Donations can be made to the Hospice of Hope, 215 Hughes Blvd, Mt. Orab, OH 45154.
