Ilena L. Palmer

Ilena L. Palmer, 84 years of the Belfast Community, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020.
Ilena was born on the home place February 8, 1936, the daughter of the late James Thaddeus and Edna Ethel (Maxwell) Palmer, Sr. Beside her parents, Ilena was preceded in death by five brothers, Paul, Ed, Dale, Jim, Ronald "Pete" Palmer; two sisters, Anna Graham and Geneva Snider; one niece.
Ilena was a 1954 graduate of the Belfast High School, a member of the Sweet Adeline's, Crafter's Club, lived and worked on the family farm until her passing.
Ilena is survived by one sister, Effie Behm of Belfast; one brother, Dean Palmer of Belfast: 24 nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Graveside service will be held at the Convenience of the Family at the Coss Cemetery. Pastor John Waugh will officiate. The Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
