Ione Dixon

Ione Dixon, age 93 of Columbus, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at Doctors Hospital West in Columbus.
She was born in Seaman, Ohio on May 31, 1921 the daughter of the late Clarence and Ada (McCreight) Dawley.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Dixon, who passed away on July 27, 1997 and sister, Wanda Stone.
Ione attended Seaman United Presbyterian Church, was a member of Young At Heart Senior Citizens in Columbus, and a past President of the Peebles Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons, Randy and Loretta Dixon of Springboro and Dennis and Penny Dixon of West Union; one daughter, Sharon Ellis of Columbus; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and 5 step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Clarence Abbott officiating. Burial will follow in Tranquility Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Ohio Health Hospice in Columbus, Ohio or Saint Marks United Methodist Church, 5200 Sullivant Avenue Columbus, Ohio 43228.
