Ione T. James, 78 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on November 23, 1924 the daughter of the late Ora and Celesta Hibbs Johnson.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Douglas James, who passed away on August 13, 1985, son, John Peterson, two brothers, and one sister.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce Wayne and Kathleen Burden of Hillsboro, Charles Ora and Debra James of Hillsboro, daughter and fiancé, Celesta Suzanne East and Jerry Deyo of Hillsboro, daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Peterson of Hillsboro, nineteen grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, brother, Archie Johnson of Hillsboro, and sister, Alma Hoover of Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 2:30 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 12:30 till 2:30 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
