Irene Best, 85 years of Seaman, died Thursday, February 10, 2005 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born in Winchester, Ohio on October 30, 1919 the daughter of the late Christopher and Eva Wasson McClughen.
She was a member of the Seaman United Presbyterian Church. She was a bookkeeper for Blue Flame.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Best, who passed away in 1977, one son, Larry Simmons, three brothers, Ralph, Jim, and Bert McClughen, one sister, Mary McClughen, and one great great grandson.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Ronald Simmons of Seaman, Jerry and Verna Simmons of Glendale, Arizona, daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Gary Newman of Winchester, brothers, Glenn McClughen of Siera Vista, Arizona, Junior McClughen of Seaman, sisters, Helen Koontz of Concord, North Carolina, Daisy Wilson of Cincinnati, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at the Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home in Winchester with Tim Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherry Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home.
