Irene Thompson, age 104 of Peebles, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Peebles, Ohio on December 13, 1909 the daughter of the late Blanchard and Louisa McGlaughlin Simmons.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Elza Grooms who passed away on February 11, 1974; second husband, Jay Thompson who passed away on August 18, 1991; three brothers; and two sisters.
Irene attended Peebles Holiness Mission.
She is survived by two step sons, Eugene Thompson and Curtis Thompson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Peebles Holiness Mission with Charlene Toller officiating. Burial will follow in Jacktown Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the church.
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of the arrangements.
