Iris A. Jones, 94 years of Peebles, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Philippi, West Virginia on October 4, 1913 the daughter of the late Vincent and Angelia Biasi McMigailo.
She was a member of the Peebles United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star Chapter #246 and also a member of the Peebles Shakespeare Club.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband James R. Elliott Sr., who passed away on August 24, 1962, second husband John Jones, who passed away September 17, 1984, and one daughter.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jim and Kathy Elliott of Media Pennsylvania, daughter Becky Rebrook of Worthington West Virginia, sister Julia Wimting of Garden Grove, California, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Friday, June 27, 2008 from 9:00 till 11:00 A.M. at the Peebles United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Clarksburg, West Virginia with Steve Zinser and Jim Elliott co-officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery; Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles will be serving the family.
