Ivetta Rogers, 78 years of Winchester, passed away Friday, November 20, 2009 at her residence.
She was born in Bath County, Kentucky on June 27, 1931 the daughter of the late Maxey and Lorena Reed Stephens.
Ivetta was a member of the Winchester United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walter Rogers, who passed away on June 24, 2001 and one sister; Era Dell Dyer.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Alvin and Ada Rogers of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, son Leonard Rogers of Winchester, brother Roger Stephens of Owingsville, Kentucky, five sisters; Ina Martin, Linda Gray, Cheryl Sorrell all of Owingsville, Kentucky, Margaret Snedgar of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, and Donna Harmon of Converse, Indiana, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, special niece Daisey Gill and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester with Pastor Bill Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 5:00 till 7:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester.
Memorials may be made to the Winchester United Methodist Church.
