J.C. McCane, 58 years of Jacktown, died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at his residence.
He was born in Peebles, Ohio on February 11, 1946 the son of the late Robert and Sophia Gilbert McCane.
He was a member of the Union Hill Church. He worked at Cincinnati Milacron. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Era.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers.
He is survived by two brothers, Richard McCane of Peebles, Bobby McCane of Peebles, seven sisters, Adrian Douglas of Springfield, Thelma Campbell of Peebles, Jewell Hunter of Manchester, Bessie Honig of Peebles, Gracie Johnson of Leesburg, Jean Crouch of Dunkinsville, Shirley Abbott of Seaman, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Ken Johnson and Phil Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacktown Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
