Jacob Denson Ladd, Sr. 91 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
He was born in Rainsboro, Ohio on October 23, 1916 the son of the late Vernon B. and Ruth Sentman Ladd.
He retired from the US Shoe Corporation in Greenfield after 34 years.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Day.
He is survived by wife Florence Lucille Collins Ladd whom he married on August 7, 1941, son and daughter-in-law, Jacob D. and Gamma Ladd Jr. of Washington, C.H., one daughter and son-in-law, Betty F. and John Dodds of Hillsboro, brother Thomas Ladd of Rainsboro, three grandchildren, Mark Lisa Dodds, Tim Sharon Dodds, Chris Michele Dodds and five great grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Shelby, Brennan and Courtney Dodds.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 9, 2008 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 till time of service at 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
