James Boyd

February 18, 1940 — October 19, 2014

James Boyd, Jr., age 74 of Peebles, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Peebles, Ohio on February 18, 1940 the son of the late James and Hazel (Piatt) Boyd, Sr.

James was a US Army veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Pam and Greg Davis of Grove City, Barb and Jason Belanger of Canada, and Lori Shoemaker and Ed Coleman of Peebles; one brother, Gary and Martha Boyd of Dayton; four grandchildren, Jamie, Nathan, Laken, and Maddox; and special friend, Cloe Gaffin of Peebles.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Phil Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery with military rites given by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
