James "Jim" Branham, Jr., 74 years of Peebles, passed away Monday, August 22, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Wamsley, Ohio on September 27, 1936 the son of the late James and Edith Nichols Branham, Sr.
Jim attended Peebles Methodist Church; he was a teacher for Ohio Valley School District, a member of Ohio High School Athletic Association, Ohio High School Counselor Association, and Ohio High School Teachers Association.
He is survived by his wife Susie May Branham of Peebles whom he married on June 25, 1955, two daughters and sons-in-law; Cathy and Joe Uhl of Tampa and Tammy and Chris Shults of Atlanta, one brother; Edwin Neary of Tennessee, three sisters; Bonnie Hawkins of West Union, Eloise Doddridge of Lucasville, and Phyllis Presslor of Iowa, four grandchildren; Joey, Jessica, Jennifer, and Emily, and one great grandson; Nicholas.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Steve Zinser officiating. Burial will follow in Moores Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
