James H. Burba, Jr., 72 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
He was born in Highland County, Ohio on November 6, 1934 the son of the late James H. and Elizabeth Stanforth Burba, Sr.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Brad Burba.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Maxwell Burba of Hillsboro, sons, Dick Burba of Hillsboro, George Burba of Mt. Orab, James L. Burba of Hillsboro, James A. Burba of Hillsboro, daughters, Janet Hess of Rainsboro, Judy Justice of Mt. Orab, JD Burba of Hillsboro, June Burba of Hillsboro, Jewell Worley of Candler, North Carolina, Betty Ann Whiteneck of Hillsboro, Connie Fox of Hillsboro, step sons, Brian Ball of Hillsboro, Doug Ball of Montgomery, Alabama, step daughter, Denise "Sisy" Ball of Hillsboro, brothers, Scott Burba of New York, Brandon Burba of Connecticut, sister, Jamie Burba of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 13, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Prospect Cemetery with Rev. Allen Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
