James E. Cochran

James E. "Jim" Cochran, 76 years of Waverly, went to be with the Lord on January 17,2021.

He was born April 9, 1944 in Scioto County, the son of the late Charles and Bethel Hudson) Cochran. Beside his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his siblings, Henry Snyder, Harvey (Katherine) Snyder, Carl Cochran and two infant sisters.

Jim was a member of the Trinity Lighthouse Holiness Church in Chillicothe. Jim served his Country in the U.S. Air Force during the Viet-Nam War.

On March 5, 1966, Jim was united in marriage to his wife, Glenna K. (Shoemaker) Cochran whom survives. Jim and Glenna were blessed with four children, Randy (Melinda) Cochran of Chillicothe, Charles (Teri) Cochran of Augusta, GA., Deborah (Michael) Butman of Chillicothe, Diana (Bill) Gee of Hawaii; grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, Cassandra, Brandon, Nicholas, Zachariah and Sidney; great grandchildren, Payton, Luke, Bo, Josiah, Benjamin, Madelynn, Caleb, Cirdan and Finley.

Jim loved his family, which included the Snyder Family of Portsmouth, OH.; the Hudson Family of Portsmouth, OH.: and the Shoemaker Family of Adams County, OH.; Throughout his life, Jim has had a love of people and cars. He has worked as a church bus driver, auto body worker and auto paint artist, as well as a semi driver.

Graveside Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Locust Grove Cemetery near Peebles.

Pastor Willard McCray will officiate.

Services are entrusted to the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home, Sinking Spring.
