James Edward Deeter, Sr., 74 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the Highland District Hospital.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 1, 1933 the son of the late Lester Henry and Ruth Irene Buckingham Deeter.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by three grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Jane Deeter, two sons & daughter in laws Lester Leroy & Marsha Deeter of Hillsboro, Ohio, and James Edward & Colena Deeter, Jr. of Hillsboro, Ohio. Three daughter & son in laws Johna & Buck Roberts of Fountain, Colorado, Janet & Mike Simons of Sardinia, Ohio, and Prudence & Dan Fisher of Hillsboro, Ohio. One daughter Ruth Irene Deeter of Bainbridge, Ohio. One brother in law & sister in law Bemis & Caroline Tatem of Scottsdale, Arizona, sixteen grandchildren, and thirty two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Ohio with Dr. Dan Lamb officiating.
Burial will follow in the Gilboa Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
