James E. Dyer, 66 years of Arcanum, OH, died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at the Wayne Hospital in Greenville, Ohio.
He was born October 25, 1940 in Knott, Kentucky, the son of the late Ted and Opel Inman Dyer. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Dyer.
He was an Army Veteran and retired self employed construction worker.
He is survived by his wife Virginia Creech Dyer; two sons, James Dyer and Thomas Dyer both of Gordon, OH; one daughter, Lisa Lewis of New Vienna, OH; one brother, Bob Dyer of Kettering, OH; one sister, Elizabeth Ditrick, of Palm Harbor, FL.; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 5, 2007 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Ken Woleab will officiate. Burial with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the Greenbrier Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday from 5:00 P.M.? 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
